Academic Policy
BBSRA has a policy to monitor and support the academic progress of each Varsity Alpine and Freestyle student-athlete by offering the services of a team tutor and requiring a minimum 2.5 GPA (no Fs allowed for participation in either team training, racing or competing). Grades will be solicited on a monthly basis directly from school officials starting in mid-January and continuing through mid-March.

Coaches will be notified by the Program Director if there is a problem with an athlete. Athletes will be expected to rectify the situation as quickly as possible and demonstrate through school review that grade requirements are being met. Athletes who need time to make up work missed due to travel will be allowed 10 days to complete unfinished schoolwork. Athletes who are unable to bring their grades up to meet minimum standards will be issued refunds according to the published refund policy. Expectations are clearly stated and consequences for rule violations will be enforced.
