Development Team Report
Report #1 — January 27, 2005 - by Ashley Yamada
North Series - Brundage, Idaho

The Devo team had a good first race in McCall this past weekend. They raced at Brundage Mountain and skied G.S. on Saturday and Slalom on Sunday. We represented Bogus Basin with 30 athletes. The coaching staff included Martin Wilson, Ashley Yamada, Carma Burnett Carew, Ray Gadd, and Mike Lodge. The athletes and coaches did a great job. Some of the top finishers were Grahm Black with a 2nd place finish in the G.S. and a 3rd place finish in the Slalom. Grace Alexander finished 5th in the girls G.S. Jamie Mustard finished both days in second place and Beth Warner followed her both days finishing 3rd. Garrett Lodge finished 3rd in the G.S. and 2nd in the Slalom. Garett Black took 1st in the G.S. and 3rd in the slalom. Payton Anderson finished 4th in the G.S. and Paul Micheal Dewitt followed him finishing 5th.

Along with having wonderful weather and great skiing the team and family members met up for a big pizza dinner on Saturday night which was awesome. It was a really fun weekend for all!

All the athletes skied well and are getting ready to race in the Cranston Cup slaloms this up coming weekend.
