Development Team Report
Report #2 — February

Hello Devo Team,
First and foremost, I would like to congratulate all of you for a great
effort last weekend in Targhee. The conditions were less than ideal and
I know it was a little nerve-wracking for many of you. I would also like
to thank Brett, Mike and Ray for hanging in there as well. We were very
proud of our medal winners last weekend and we are hoping to get more
medals in Sun Valley.
It's really hard to imagine that's it's already the middle of February
which means we only have 1 month until the IMD Champs and 6 weeks until
the North Champs. The IMD Champs are a Championship race for the J4's
and J5's from
both the North and the South. Athletes need to qualify for this event.
Athlete selections will be done after the Sun Valley race. The North
Champs
is open to all J4's, J5's and J6's in the North. We will staff both events.
This week training is still up in the air. I am pretty sure we will
get training space. I will let you know otherwise. For now, I'd
like all of you to plan of skiing Slalom on Wed. night and Saturday.
Sunday will be GS and then we will go back to Slalom next Wednesday
night. We are trying our best to get ready for the Sun Valley Races.
Sun Valley Race information
I would like to know if you are NOT planning on attending otherwise
I will enter the entire team. Entries are $18.00 per day. Please send
a check to BBSRA for $36.00 for your entry fee ASAP. Racer lift tickets
may be purchased at the ticket window at 8:00am on Saturday morning.
The cost of the tickets will be $30.00. The Bogus Basin Team will have
a Team Meeting at 8:00am on the second floor of the lodge on Saturday
morning. Everyone must be in attendance. The lifts will open at 8:30
for competitors and coaches. We will do video in the lodge immediately
after the races on Saturday and then do another team meeting on Sunday
morning at 8:00.
