Report #3— February 1, 2007

Hello All

The ski season is moving fast the J4’s now have a race every other weekend, starting with this weekends SG which have been moved to McCall.  The younger kids have two more weeks before they start their very two week race schedule.

I thought the kids skied fantastic at the Cranston Cup, and hope they all continue to improve from there.  If you have not seen the results they can be found at this USSA link http://www.ussa-imd.org/alpine/races06/north.htm. 

It time for the kids to get those goal sheets filled out (hopefully they were done at the start of the season, remember they were handed out at the Nov. orientation meeting) and turned in.  I would like to review with each kid during the weekend of Feb. 3, 4 to make sure we are moving towards their early season goals.

Some of you have asked about attending the Winter Games at Brundage on the weekend of   Feb. 3rd and 4th I say go for it, the races are good and the McCall kids will be there so expect some good competition.   Yes, the kids will miss home training, but racing is good training also.  Of note there will be no coaching representing the DEVO kids so they will most likely have to approach the race with your help.
