Wow!
You guy's are TOUGH! The first weekend was for serious ski racers only!
With temperatures down to 9 degrees on Saturday and 15 below with
the chill factor on Sunday we all came through and it was great to
get
out and start skiing again! The first session of Christmas camp is
now over and was a success, Coach Dave reported, all though they
were rained off the mountain today. That means we will have light
fluffy
powder next week! You can still register for the second half of Christmas
camp send in your e-mail and sign up now for next week.
Thank you to all of the Racers and Parents for showing up on time.
Just a couple of things to remember; We start at 9:00am sharp and
break for
lunch at 11:30. Please have a plan and a back up plan to pick up your
racer at 11:30 or make sure they know where to go for lunch. Please,
meet your Kid's at 11:30 and have them meet there groups back ready
to go out skiing by 12:30.
This weekend was a great example of what to expect, this is an outdoor
sport so make sure your racer is ready for what ever Mother Nature
throws at us! Put a couple of bucks in their pocket along with some
hand warmers,
make sure they are dressed for the day. Helmets and goggles are mandatory,
make sure they fit and are ready to go. If you have forgotten something
please contact Coach Dave or myself, we will be able to figure something
out.
So sign
up for
next week's Christmas camp, be on time and be prepared for the most
extreme conditions! We will do our part to keep it fun and build life
long fantastic
skiers! Remember we are off the 24th and 25th and will be back the
following weekend. The BBSRA office is closed the 22nd-26th you can
still sign
up for camp via e-mail.
Merry Christmas,
Coach Terry
