Mitey
Mite Team
Report Greetings Mitey Mite’s! Well you can just plan on bringing your powder boards for the first few races of the season! It seems every year for the last few (as many as I can remember) all of our first of the season races have been a real test, and the Mitey Mites have always done very well! This year is no exception, cold weather and fresh powder! I was very impressed with the racing I saw! There was some great skiing going on, Nice Job Mitey Mite’s! As some of you may have heard we are down a coach Kyle Knutson from Team Croatia tore his ACL while free skiing that is very painful! Kyle he has a long road to recovery, we all wish him the best. We are hiring a new coach this week, and will be back up to full staff before you know it. In the mean time we will cover with some of the coaches working both days until our new staff members are familiar with their new teams so please bear with us as we get our new coaches up to speed! I am pleased to announce that Amy Lodge will be helping me for the remainder of the year as my assistant! Congratulations Amy, She is a level 1 PSIA Instructor and worked as an instructor at Crystal Mt. Washington. She will continue working with her regular groups but will cover for me when I have to travel. Remember your Mitey Mite is signed up for all of the YSL races at Bogus Basin any YSL races not at Bogus Basin you will need to sign your racer up for. Please when free skiing with your young racer let them pick the runs, they can show you what they have been working on, Please do not take them some where they would be “over their head” what they all need now is lots of miles and lots of smiles! Point em’ down hill!
